Join us in recognizing a dedicated and senior administrator for Principals Month: Kevin Wilson! Mr. Wilson serves our students in two vital roles—as the HEART Principal and as our driving force behind career readiness, the CTE Director. His commitment and passion for every student are felt across our district. We're so fortunate to have his leadership and expertise. Thank you, Mr. Wilson, for all the opportunities you are bringing to our students this year and for years to come!

The Rochester boys golf team competed in Day 1 of the 1A District Tournament at Tumwater Valley yesterday. It was a great day for golf with 70 athletes from 13 schools competing for a spot in the top 35 to advance to Day 2. We are excited to share that Clayton Knutson (89) and Cash Edminster (90) both qualified for Day 2! They are in great position to make a run at the top 14 for a state bid. A special acknowledgement to Boden Grimm and Darin Ware who had fantastic rounds, both shooting a 93 and missing the cut off by only one stroke. With big progress from Wesley Dahl and several promising underclassmen, the future is incredibly bright for Rochester Golf. Good luck to Clayton and Cash on the course today!

October is National Principals Month! The Rochester School District is honored to celebrate the passionate leaders who guide our schools every day. We're kicking things off with the leadership team at Rochester High School! A huge thank you to Principal Kevin Theonnes and Assistant Principal Kelsey Lincoln. They dedicate themselves daily to creating a supportive, engaging, and successful environment for our high schoolers. Their leadership truly makes a difference! Thank you, Mr. Theonnes and Ms. Lincoln, for your incredible dedication and service to the Warriors community!

Our school will participate in the Healthy Youth Survey (HYS) this Fall. Youth in Washington State have been taking the HYS since 2002. The number of young people taking the survey has grown from only a few thousand to over 215,000 a year! The survey asks about how youth are doing, social relationships, mental health, substance use, risks for injury, and more. Communities, districts, schools, and public health agencies use survey results to inform policies and programs designed to support youth well-being.
The HYS is a meaningful way for youth to guide the future of our state. Your youth’s participation is appreciated. Please share this information with your youth. Then talk about the survey and decide if your youth will participate.
Families, you will find flyers attached to this communication providing more indepth information from the Healthy Youth Survey with links and contact information.
We appreciate your support. Go Warriors!
