Parent/Teacher Conferences Next Week!

Student release time is 11:25 every day next week.

Conferences are Tuesday (11:30 - 2:45), Wednesday (11:30 - 6:00, No conferences 3:15 - 3:45), and Thursday (11:30 - 2:45).

Hello Parents and Guardians,

Our school will participate in the Healthy Youth Survey (HYS) this Fall. Youth in Washington State have been taking the HYS since 2002. The number of young people taking the survey has grown from only a few thousand to over 215,000 a year! The survey asks about how youth are doing, social relationships, mental health, substance use, risks for injury, and more. Communities, districts, schools, and public health agencies use survey results to inform policies and programs designed to support youth well-being.

The HYS is a meaningful way for youth to guide the future of our state. Your youth’s participation is appreciated. Please share this information with your youth. Then talk about the survey and decide if your youth will participate.

September is Attendance Awareness Month, and we want to remind everyone that showing up every day makes a huge difference. Regular attendance not only boosts academic performance but also builds confidence and a sense of belonging. Let’s work together to make sure every student is present and engaged.

Today is Native American Day. We recognize and celebrate the rich history, diverse cultures, and enduring contributions of Native American people. This day serves as an important reminder to reflect on the past and commit to continued learning and fostering strong relationships with our local Indigenous communities. We encourage everyone to take a moment today to learn more about the Native American heritage that shapes our state and region.

Did you know that Hispanic Heritage Month began on September 15? The date is significant because it's the anniversary of independence for several Latin American countries! The traditions, languages, and unique perspectives enrich our classrooms. Our district is proud to be a place where we can learn from and honor the traditions, achievements, and stories of our Hispanic and Latino families.

The RHS football game has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, 9/20, at 7:00 PM, at Rochester High School. Come cheer the Warriors on to victory!

Due to air quality conditions, the football game originally scheduled for 9/19 is rescheduled to Saturday, September 20, at 7 pm.

Tonight's football contest with Aberdeen is cancelled. Due to deteriorating air conditions Rochester High School is sad to inform our community that our scheduled contest with Aberdeen tonight, 9/19/25 is cancelled.

Happy National IT Professionals Day! We want to give a huge shout-out to our amazing IT team, Jon and Josh. They're the unsung heroes who keep our district running smoothly. With over 5,000 pieces of equipment and more than 280 staff members to support, their work behind the scenes is invaluable—especially during this busy time of year.
