Rochester High School proudly hosted the Regional Robotics and Drone Competition on Saturday, January 10, 2026, welcoming innovation, teamwork, and community spirit into its halls. The event marked a milestone year, featuring 50 student competitors from six schools and drawing the largest spectator turnout ever recorded at Rochester High School—a powerful testament to the growing excitement around STEM education in our region.

From the opening moments to the final awards ceremony, the energy in the building was electric. Families, students, staff, and community members packed the venue to cheer on competitors as they demonstrated advanced technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration under pressure.

Their hard work paid off in spectacular fashion. Rochester High School captured its 8th consecutive Regional Championship, an extraordinary achievement that speaks to the strength and consistency of the program. Even more impressive, Rochester teams swept the top three placements in both the Robotics and Drone competitive categories, showcasing depth, excellence, and a culture of high expectations.

Beyond trophies and titles, the competition highlighted what makes Rochester High School special: students who are curious, driven, and willing to put in the work; educators who guide and challenge them; and a community that shows up in full support. These students didn’t just compete—they represented Rochester with pride, professionalism, and confidence.

This event was a celebration of innovation, perseverance, and school spirit. Rochester High School continues to set the standard for excellence in robotics and drone technology, proving once again that when opportunity meets dedication, incredible things happen.
