Rochester High School recently welcomed its incoming freshman class during its annual Freshman Orientation Night, giving future students and their families an opportunity to learn more about what to expect as they begin their high school journey in the 2026–2027 school year.
Throughout the evening, incoming ninth graders and their families explored important information about high school expectations, graduation requirements, and the different pathways available to help students plan for their future. School administrators and counselors were available to answer questions and guide families through topics such as course planning, credits needed for graduation, and opportunities that help prepare students for college, careers, and life after high school.
Students also had the chance to meet Rochester High School principals and counseling staff, who shared resources and support systems available to help students succeed during their high school years.
In addition to learning about academics, the evening highlighted the many ways students can get involved in school life. Representatives from a variety of student clubs, activities, and athletic programs were on hand to talk with incoming freshmen about opportunities to connect, build friendships, and develop leadership skills outside of the classroom.
The event provided a welcoming first step for students as they prepare to transition into high school and begin building their own Rochester High School experience.
Rochester High School staff are excited to welcome the Class of 2030 and look forward to supporting them as they begin their high school journey in the coming year.
